High Field MR
Our 1.5 Tesla Marconi Eclipse is a short bore design which enables us to image claustrophobic patients from the waist down while their head is outside of the actual magnet. The new 1.5T Eclipse delivers unparalleled clinical performance with a short bore and large patient aperture.The Eclipse system is available at our Edgewood facility. It is designed for new and emerging applications such as Advanced Neuro Imaging for Stroke Assessment, Contrast Enhanced Vascular Imaging, and Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging.

In addition to the Marconi Eclipse, KDC now offers the newest and shortest high field magnet in the world. The new Ultra Short Bore Marconi Infinion magnet is 1.5 Tesla and is 20% shorter than the Eclipse. KDC was chosen by Marconi Medical Systems Inc. to perform Beta testing on this magnet prior to international distribution. KDC was the second installation in the world, and is the only facility in the tri-state area to offer this magnet. The Infinion, like the Eclipse, is capable of performing all advanced, high detail, applications that are clinically available. Our new site in Hebron, KY also houses a Marconi 1.5 Tesla Infinion scanner.

The GE Signa Horizon LX 1.0 Tesla (seen opposite) is also available at our Alexandia facility. This Short Bore GE magnet is the only GE installation in Northen Kentucky.

This magnet, like the high field magnets at Edgewood, are capable of imaging structures as small as 1mm. The GE Signa combines patient comfort along with high field, high detail imaging.
