The Next Generation of Scanning
In order to make the most accurate diagnosis and the best treatment plan,
your doctor has recommended that you receive an MRI or CT scan.
At Kentucky Diagnostic Center, our goal is to provide the best in patient
service and satisfaction. KDC is Northern Kentucky's only State Licensed
imaging (MRI/CT) center so you can be assured you are receiving the very
best in quality and the latest in technology.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI is the most advanced technology available
to view inside the human body in 3-D (3 dimensional). Remember as a child how
much fun it was to play with magnets? MRI is a huge magnet that utilizes radio
waves that make visible the tiniest details of your body. MRI is used to diagnose
a wide variety of soft tissue, and sports related injuries.

Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)
Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) provides a detailed analysis of your
vascular system and major blood vessels, and is similar to MRI. KDC is the
regional expert at imaging vascular structures of the brain, neck, abdomen and
lower legs. In some cases you may require an injection of a "contrast material"
to help certain parts of the body show up better. If this is necessary, you will
receive a small injection that feels like a pin prick.

Computed Tomography (CT)
Computed Tomography (CT) is often referred to as a "cat" scan, and is an
advanced radiology procedure which uses x-rays and a super computer to
produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body's internal organs. CT
images are much more sensitive than ordinary x-rays and it has the unique
ability to show a combination of soft tissue, bone and blood vessels. |
